KT MCFARLAND ANNOUNCES CAMPAIGN CHAIRMAN
Former Erie County Republican Leader Davis Tapped for Position

New York, NY-June 6…Republican U.S. Senate candidate Kathleen Troia “KT” McFarland, a top Pentagon official in the Reagan administration, today announced that former Erie County Republican Chairman Robert “Bob” Davis has joined her campaign as Chairman.

In accepting the position, Mr. Davis, the former 1st Vice-Chairman of the New York Republican State Committee, said: “KT McFarland is an experienced, educated and energetic candidate who will make a formidable challenger to Mrs. Clinton in November. KT is an expert on national security issues and an unabashed fiscal conservative who understands that tax cuts—not big government—are the key to job growth and economic expansion in New York and across the country. From now until September, I will do everything in my power to convince New York Republicans to rally around KT McFarland, whose candidacy represents the best hopes of our party and the best hopes of our state.”

Mr. Davis has extensive experience as a leader in the Republican Party of New York State, and has engineered many Republican victories in a county with 130,000 more Democrats than Republicans. He was the Chairman of the Erie County Republican Committee for 10 years, the Chairman of the Town of Tonawanda Republican Committee for a decade and a Vice-Chairman of the New York State Republican Party for 7 years. Mr. Davis is also a successful small businessman, having formed The Partnership, LTD, which is an advertising, marketing and public relations firms that specializes in retail marketing.

He joins a campaign team that now includes top national fund raiser Anne Dunsmore; Ed Rollins, who ran President Ronald Reagan’s 1984 re-election campaign (the last Republican Presidential campaign to carry New York State); Rich Galen, former communications director for House Speaker Newt Gingrich’s political office, and Adam Goodman, who served as a media advisor to former Mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani.

“I want to thank Bob Davis for agreeing to serve as Campaign Chairman,” Ms. McFarland said. “Bob has been a strong leader in the Republican Party for 20 years, and I am fortunate to have him on board. I promised 10 weeks ago to put together one of the best campaign teams in the country and that’s exactly what I’ve done. I look forward to a healthy and energetic primary in September and a vigorous, issue-based race against Mrs. Clinton following that.”

Born and raised in a middle-class home in Madison, Wisconsin, KT McFarland worked with three U.S. Presidents: For Ronald Reagan she served as a Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense; for Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford she was a member of Henry Kissinger’s influential National Security Council staff. She put herself through George Washington University, Oxford and M.I.T. with scholarships, part time jobs and student loans.
